Using PAC but keep my contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

I work for a company that prides itself on providing an excellent customer service. This is not a good customer journey!

I spent one hour on the "online chat" service before I received my PAC last night.

I have a PAC to take my number to another provider, but I want to use the minutes and data in my existing contract with O2.  I do NOT want to terminate my contract.

I just need another number (or even the original number) allocated to my SIM.  I am even happy to have a new SIM with a new number. I do NOT want to terminate my contract.

Nowhere in the T&Cs does it say if you port your number, you must pay for the remainder of your contract, but O2 will not give you a number to be able to use your allowance.

If O2 want to terminate my contract / break the contract, then give me a refund. I do NOT want to terminate my contract.

I just want to take / port my MY mobile telephone number to another provider before the end of the contract.

The only chance would be for some Outdated or forgotten scenario involving P&G or some new process. Good luck.

You do understand that the number doesn't belong to you, per say. If you don't use it on pay and go, you lose it. If you don't pay your bill, you use it. You more or less rent the number, and the original network allows the transfer to another network under competition laws. It's the same reason why you can move your landline number about. But it's never truly yours.

Hi @Anonymous I've had a response on your query and the team has confirmed that using your PAC code will terminate your existing contract. You would then have to pay any outstanding fees.
