Unknown increase in data usage?

The past two months I seem to have used all my data but I haven't used my phone any more than I usually do. I really don't understand why this is happening and why I have such an increase in my data usage! Weirdly, it has also happened to my other half, my mum and my step dad too in the past couple of months!

My stepdad and I are running a Nexus 5X and my Mum and other half are running a Nexus 5.

The drill down in myo2 is useless and doesn't tell me anything other than i have gone over!

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Thanks slight_smile

How did you find out what it was using the data?

Easiest way to avoid it happening again is to uninstall the app and access FB through your browser.

Updates are done via google play or itunes stores. Turn off auto updates there.

Go into settings, under "data usage" tells you how much each app is using!

as @jonsie says, app updates are done through play store on android.
open the play store app, press the three lines at top left (next to search) and choose my apps.
find facebook, the press the 3 does at top right. pop up for auto update appears - untick if ticked, otherwise leave alone.
