Unable to send MMS

Anonymous
Not applicable

My number was ported from Vodafone to O2 on Monday and everything seems to be ok apart from one thing - I can't send picture messages.  I thought I could, but I was actually sending iMessages!  I have a link from O2 with the settings for MMS but when I click on it nothing happens.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?  It's not the end of the world as I don't send many but it would be good to sort it!

(Oh and I do love the way that spell check wants to change Vodafone to avoidance!)

It sounds like it's not properly provisioned on your account. Give CS a call on 202 and get them to reset your MMS for you account side.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Check in network settings and look at your mms profile. It should be iData if you are an iPhone tariff.

Thanks - I've checked the settings and it shows as idata.o2.co.uk so I'm presuming that bit's ok.  I've compared the settings to the ones in the message from O2 and they are the same...

You may need to speak to 02 on 202 contract or 4445 payg to get your account provisioned for mms

That's what I was worried about!  Oh well, I'll try them later on.

Thanks!

Good luck wink
Remember also iMessage is free but you will be charged 35p for each MMS you send.

Thanks both.

Are pictures free (or taken from my data allowance) on iMessage?

You're welcome.

On iMessage yes as using it comes out of your data allowance.

No they are not free with o2

35p on contract.

25p on payg

Unless you but a bolt on. That gives 50mms .
