Texts showing as emails?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes...

My husband has just bought an iPhone 5 and now all the texts I receive from him show as coming from his email address and not as his name/number. They're not being delivered to my email inbox but in my messages app, rather than seeing 'Matt' at the top I see his full email address.

Is this something to do with his settings or mine? What's the solution please?

Well it's worked and his texts are now showing as coming from his contact name rather than email. But to do that he's had to turn off iMessage which isn't ideal... Oh well, when he's back in the country (I've been trying to sort this whilst he's been away!) I'll have a proper look at his phone and get a long term solution. Never thought I'd be the one to know more than him about mobile settings! 🙂
