Hi,
My daughters have been texting a friend in the US. I've got a zero spend cap on their monthly contract, so does this mean texts to the US are free on a monthly unlimited texts plan as it's allowing them to text her.
I can't find the answer to this anywhere, so hoping someone here may know.
Thanks!

What phones do they all have?? As if iPhones and using imessage the texts are free, and the same if they are uising RCS then no charges as its done via the Data Network and not via SMS

An article on the ways that "text" messages could be sent from UK to USA for "free" - note WhatsApp gets a mention. Also if both are Android phones, Google's Messaging app will permit text message exchange for free between both phones (yet another [basic] WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger style app needing only a WiFi connection to work, @EmmyW.
Just seen your note to @madasaf1sh about 1 x Apple and 2 x Pixels in the ring - RCS or some form of data messaging is in use.
