I've been without the ability to text from my phone and receive texts too for the last 24 hours. When I try to text it says.......Not sent, tap to try again. Been on the O2 website and had a virtual chat with an advisor, who messaged me through various actions. Concluded with it being an O2 issue, but no advice for when texting will be resumed on my phone. I know I've missed receiving imoortant messages....any advice please. Never had an issue like this before.

There was an O2 network issue earlier which has been rectified now.

Thanks for all your suggestions.......I'm really not tech savvy so where exactly am I supposed to be entering the long number with the + sign in front. My phone is a Moto G6 play.

Ok, I give up......don't know wants going on with my phone, nothings working. So I'll get back to O2 tomorrow and see what they suggest. As for the number mentioned in previous replies, do I enter it in Messages.......settings......advanced.........phone number (presently it says unknown)
