Is it possible for 02 to put a cap once the inclusive mins are over? e.g. once 600mins inclusive is over then i wont be able to make a call? thanks

No. That's how they make their money.
But you can quite easily monitor your account use via My O2.

you need to monitor your account yourself and if you do feel the need to bar the account once your allowance is used you can easily call customer services and ask them to restrict your services.

it would be good if they could send you a text to warn you your close to reaching your limit, im sure it wouldnt be hard for them to do

While a text would be a good idea, I'm not sure O2 would bring this in. They will point out that it's so easy to check your allowance by text or on line through your PC or mobile. Ultimately, the onus is on you to manage your account, after all you're considered a responsible adult when you are eighteen.
