I am on a 1 month rolling Simplicity contract which I have had for a couple of years or so.
I am thinking of changing to a 12 month Simplicity contract because you get more for the same money, ie I would get 750Mb of data a month instead of 250Mb for the same fee.
My question is that can I change contracts & keep the same phone number? I know I can just sign up again but that may involve getting a new number which I don't want.
Also how do you cancel the old 1 month contract if I changed over, I don't want to just stop the direct debit if it causes problems with my account/credit rating?

Not an issue people change tariffs all the time, the direct debit will be updated accordingly.
Don't sign up again as that will mess things up, just change tariff.
It's very simple and your account will be changed for you.

Cheers, now all done & dusted. On a new 12 month contract with the same number.
