Sim Swap Fail Help

Hello,

I'm having issues with my sim swap. I got my new phone and sim today and inserted the sim. I then tried to do the sim swap however I received no signal on my new or old phone. I can still receive messages on the old sim however it won't allow me to send a text to request the swap and the one swap site isn't running either. Plus the phone hangs up on me when I try to contact O2 as it isn't seen as urgent.
I really need help as I use my phone for work.

Does the issue work both ways, because I can recieve text messages but i can't send any at all?

Yes. Some can't send, some can't receive, some can't do either.

Not affected me though. Probably as I haven't had a new phone or sim, tried a sim swap or ported my number.
