My contract expires at the end of may, Will this be automatically renwed or cancelled? I can't see anywhere about cancelling but i know previously O2 have continued to take money from my account when i'd thought the contract had expired.

My phone contract ended 2 year ago however i have still been paying the same airtime payment on a monthly basis as my device payment has been paid off.

Also I have been getting the same data allowance too.

I dont know about anyone else.

Yes the airtime just carries on monthly till you cancel or upgrade.

It's well worth looking for a better sim only deal when looking at upgrade options. Cheaper and more data.

You are paying far too much. Look at upgrading to a sim only contract if you are paying for the device only.

If you do that you will be paying for the phone outright and than you have to pay for a sim only deal.

I would suggest you look elsewhere for a better phone deal, then come here for your simo contract @N-Star09

PS. mobilephonesdirect may be a good place to upgrade, if you wish to stay with O2, @N-Star09

Thanks for the replies.

I prefer to stay with O2.

I can also get 25% discount on airtime plans through my employment..

On my previous contract, i got 50% discount on airtime plans when my family member used to work for O2 back then.

However i dont mind mind paying full price however i mean discounted full price not the RRP full price.

Hope that makes sense.

Again through my employment i can get 10-15% off full price off the handset if i was to go for the sim only contract route as their are some good sim only deals on O2. Also i have had no problems with O2.

However i am now getting cold feet regarding S20+ 5G because so many UK reviewers are saying there are serious over-heating problems. Im not really a gamer however it is concerning.

I have only ever had 4 phones in my life & all of them i have had for more than 3+ years.

Therefore the next phone i get is not just a phone but an investment for next 3-4 years.

Im hearing positive hype about OnePlus 8 Pro (which will be revealed tomorrow) tho we will have to wait and see.
