Rapid use of data

I topped up with a £10.00 bundle which gives me 500mb of data I have received a text saying that my allowance has been used up within 24 hrs. How can this be as I haven't used my phone with any data service other than when connected to the home wi-fi?

Are you certain that your wifi didn't drop out at any time? If you have an android phone you can go into settings and look to see what has used data on a daily basis too. iPhones and others will also give you an overview of data use but not in so much detail.

W10M gives full break down now too.

Make sure you disable your data plan being used as a backup if wifi drops. This can use up your data without you knowing. On windows its calles wifi sense. @MI5 will know the setting im talking about on other platforms
