Random Bill Charges

Anonymous
Not applicable

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this?

Just checked my bill and can see random calls to numbers which I have no idea what they are and i know i have not called.

They have come in at charges of £9.32 for 4 calls number being 2 going to 08702385200 and 0035318868371 and another 00359882881228.

I have googled the numbers and one being the 0870 is supposedly a scam number the others are supposedly scandanavian by the dialling code, and i dont know anyone there and wouldnt call anyone when i could use free methods for abroad. Again these dont show in any call logs on my phone only thign I can think of is that I have been getting dodgy messages lately from casinos and such unless recieving these are charging me I dont know as it wont show the numbers

Looking at my call log I have not made or recieved any calls to these numbers and am unable to call through to O2 as they are closed.

Anyone else encountered this?

I am aware you dont have access.

Was merely asking if anyone else has encountered this kind of thing before where no physical calls have taken place.

It's more usual for these to appear as text messages rather than calls but we do get calls reported too.
Ask CS to investigate but in all honesty I expect them to say the calls were made from your sim, so you are liable.
If you get this response and you are certain that no calls were made on any device (Tugo?) then follow the complaints link but also continue your own research.

00353 is the Ireland, and 00359 is Bulgaria,so both aren't Scandinavian

In fact the Irish number is based in Dublin, the second is a Bulgarian mobile number..

IT wouldn't surprise me if these are reverse charge calls

Funnily enough when I was checking out those numbers ..one of them (I forget which ) indicated it 'could be a reverse charge call '.... Either way it's very worrying that @Anonymous didn't make them...

So many scams these days unfortunately.
Easy to catch people out with something that looks really innocent.

I'm not sure how they could reverse charge without answering the call in the first place. I never answered a number that looked like an international number back in the UK. They would have to disguise it somehow, either withheld or unknown.
