Received a few calls from someone claiming to be from 02 special discount dept offering to send new sim card 1st call from 020 8144 0273 2nd call from 0344 809 0202 - Is this genuine or a scam.

Main thing is don't engage with them or give any information whatsoever.
Block the numbers and forward to 7726

The number 0344 809 0202 is actually @Gordon5 a genuine O2 number :-

However, you do not know that the call was authentic - a scammer could have "spoofed" or forged that number to make it look like a call from O2. And mention of the "special discount dept" sounds highly suspicious !

The social media team are based in the UK and have a good reputation for solving customer problems ; they will be able to confirm that it was not O2 who were trying to contact you ! 👍
