Problems getting signal in Scotland

We are going on holiday to the Dumfries & Galloway area next week. On past visits, we have had great difficulty getting an o2 signal. Have things improved yet?

Your best bet is to put the postcode of where your going into the service checker would give you some indication of the service available

Thats odd we have spent a lot of time along there from Annan to Stranraer and had no problems wit.h O2 signals on either my phones or my wifes, or using the mobile web.  

Could be the phone, its not an iphone by any chance is it? as I know people who have these on vodafone and they are next to useless in that area

Yes, we have iPhones. We stay in the Moffat/Beattock area and often cannot make phone calls even to wiithin the area and sometimes we have no mobile web. We have to borrow a phone using Vodafone to make the calls.
