Please help, somehow I've used 16gb of my 20gb data allowance?!?!

Hello, I'm new here. I got a text from O2 an hour ago saying I've used 16 gb of my 20gb data allowance! I haven't done any excessive streaming, watched the odd YouTube video here and there and I only use spotify at the gym while on wifi. I have an iPhone 6. Is there a way to see where the hell my data has gone?! I feel like this has to be a huge error.

Look in your phones settings for app data usage but it will show all use since you last reset it.
O2 iPhones appear to use huge amounts of data for some reason.....?

Check in the settings for data usage to see what is using excessive data. Many people with iphones suffer this high data usage. 16gb seems an extraordinary amount.

Settings - Mobile / Cellular and look at the apps at the bottom which will show what app has used how much data.

If it does not add up then contact o2 Customer Services Link http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus to ask them to look at your account.

If you use Facebook then turn off Auto Video settings.

Use wifi where and when you can to conserve data.

If you go to settings, mobile, and scroll to the bottom and you will see every app using what on data.

Are you defiantly using wifi when on Spotify.

if you need anything else, please let us know.

Well there you go, all of us saying the same thing 😄 at same time. How about that for efficiency

16gb is a few HD full length movies - I think you'd notice that kind of use and it's unlikely to be realistic based on the usage you've told us.

Are you on a shared data tariff?

Intentionally or otherwise.......?

I wondered this? Quite a few people recently found themselves on this tariff when they complained of using a lot of data.....Wasn't it some sort of glitch in the system when people took out new contracts?

It was o2 that changed the contracts to accommodate the shared data option.
