I am using a Nokia 5530 and have loaded maps. It keeps saying go to Options>Tools>Go online and does not go online to locate the positioning server. The phone connects perfectly well for a web page via WAP. Anyone had any success with OVI maps? I am not looking for GPS, just a map of where I am!

Have you told Ovi maps which APN to use to connect ?
You need to use GPS to find your position, so that it can display the map.

I swapped the O2 SIM for an Orange one and it worked perfectly.
The problem seems to lie with O2....?

I have no problems with Ovi Maps on O2 connecting through O2 postpay wap or wifi. Maybe it's a problem with your simcard? Are you sure it's 3G?

The phone, Nokia 5530, is definately not 3G. Maybe that is the problem. Looks like its a new phone or use O2 for text and talk ( there is something to be said for my alternative £9.99 Nokia to keep things simple!) and Orange for the clever stuff!
Thanks for the help.
