I ordered a phone from O2, I have an order number but no other details like when I can expect delivery, when I can expect it to be dispatched etc.
How long should I expect to wait?
All I have is
"Thanks for placing your order.
Your order number is: order number"

I'm afraid we have seen it so many times. People order phones given the information on the website and even by advisers only to have to wait days and sometimes weeks for delivery.

My take is that if it says it's in stock then it should be in the inventory until marked as sold, otherwise if I'd ordered it and subsequently found it was out of stock I would cancel straight away and go to a store to buy it instead.
As it is failing to provide the advertised service/goods surely any extraneous expence should be claimable too.

Honestly? I don't think O2 are being very fair about this. There have been a number of people claiming they have ordered online....only to find it was never in stock. Some have had payment taken as well...
Terrible marketing strategy for customers...but pretty good, albeit immoral, for O2
