Old PAYG number not migrating across

I moved from PAYG to monthly contract (esim) in June. At the time I filled in onlin form for moving from PAYG to monthly and requested I keep my old number.

I was away for a month and since I've been back, my old number is now not recognised.  I have rang 02 twice and have provided necessary info and my old sim serial no etc and my number has still not migrated across - when I ask why I don't get an answer and it's very frustrating despite being told it is a simple task.  Any one have any ideas? I can't face ringing again for them to fill ANOTHER form in!

@Arl1

This is a customer to customer community, not O2, so we cannot access your account, sorry.

You need to contact O2.

Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (contract) 4445 or 0344 8090222 (PAYG)

The process that should happen is near the foot of the guid Guide: How to get your PAC [June 2021 Update]

Have you checked for the new eSIM in that section of your MyO2, @Arl1?

Quickest way to resolve this now you are back in the UK is to take phone and some valid Photo ID and visit an O2 Shop.

Good luck!

Still not sorted and I will keep ringing every day if I have to...no-one can give me a straight answer. Yesterday, the adviser said he was making my old PAYG number active and to leave it for 4 hours... still nothing. I'm close to giving up

Message them on Social Media, @Arl1 - the quality of service (once you have got their attention!) is far better than that available from the Call Centers:

Facebook https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) ,

Twitter (X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW)

or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
