So I went into store today to try and pre-order the iPhone 16 and their systems went south and couldn’t even send me my security code. I’ve seen others have struggled too however many have managed to just pre-order online using their switch up.
i have switch up but when I try to use it online I don’t even get the option for it, I only get the option to pay off my current device and upgrade. Why is this? Has anyone else had this issue?

Your only option in this case sorry to say is speak to o2 sales in the morning on 0800 081 0255 if they cant do it, then you are going to have to go down the complaints route and they take upto 8 weeks to come back to you..

Have you the option to recycle / trade in your old device?
If you choose that and enter your IMEI number it should recognise the switch up option.

So I tried what you said about entering the IMEI in the option to trade my device and still it gives me no option the switch up but only tries to charge me still for my current device. I’m not sure what could be the problem with it.

Just checking, have you had your current device for more than 90 days?

I guess it could be that starting the process earlier in store has reset your 90 days or something.
Not sure why else it would have disappeared.
