I have Upgraded through o2 refrsh but I have a couple of questions

Will my billing date be the same?
Do I need to cancel my DD for the old phone
After my bill payment for the old phone, will I have to pay anymore on that phone?

To answer your questions as asked

Billing date remains the same.

Don't cancel DD as those details will be used for upgrade.

Not usually, depends on how much is outstanding.

Any outstanding costs for your old contract are paid when you complete the upgrade and the old contract is effectively cancelled at that point. 

Your next bill will be a combination of your old tariff and new tariff costs and will be the same date as usual.

Your account number remains the same.

You will also have a new direct debit for your device plan if you are new to refresh.

So I’ll be paying for two phones even though o2 said they would pay off the old contract.

TBH I think this ^^^^^ should be added to the current guide. It's a question which is asked constantly but isn't explained in the guide to Refresh.
