Hi guys

I am able to press 'Upgrade on us' on the myo2 app. I've read the eligibility criteria and match it all, however there is a 1cm crack on the back of my S8+, top right of the device. Can anyone confirm if this will affect my eligibility or not? As I said I read the terms but it only mentions cracks on the front being not accepted, not cracks on the back. Thanks for any info.

Any cracks or damage anywhere will reduce the value of the handset when trading in.
Your local o2 shop will confirm the value but expect to have to add to the amount to be able to upgrade.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@willowdI suspect the price offered by O2 will untimately be ridiculously low. They tend to offer one price then the second one is invariably lower. You may be better buying a new back for the phone to ensure you get the best price on offer.

You could also see what CEX would offer you, it may be higher than O2 and you could use that money to pay off the device plan.

Trade your phone to CEX instead for cash then use that to pay off any device plan fees & upgrade then

Or ebay or gumtree if you want the best possible price, once youve changed the back - If you include the box and accesories you should get even more, if you go the ebay or cex route; not sure if o2 are bothered if its boxed?

O2 only want the actual handset. They don’t want anything else

Don't forget they also want blood out of the stone!

Ebay or Gumtree are a good idea if you are prepared to spend the time putting it on there and paying the p&p and then paying off the handset although CEX offer good money.
