I have a business account with 02 through a third party Ariel direct and have set up a new 02 consumer account and requested my number to be migrated over to the consumer side as I want to keep my number this was requested on the 08th August with the 3rd party 8 days later my old sim went dead so I put my new sim in but my old number has not migrated over so I am on the temporary number and it’s a nightmare getting this solved can anyone help or advice

As Aerial is independent from O2 you will need to keep on to them to resolve it between the two of them.

What should happen is shown here Guide: Migration & porting into O2 but delays between handoff from Ariel slow things down. Guide: How to find help & contact O2 will give you numbers for O2, but note Ariel have their own help staff which only operate normal UK office hours.
