In several threads this is being discussed.
When you reached your limit o2 slowed your data usage to a snails pace unless you bought a bolton (and clawed back any slowed down data usage)
Now they will redirect you to here http://www.o2.co.uk/data-allowance
Some may be thinking that you could claim this to be a change to your contract but as I pointed out in another thread o2 have that covered in the March 2012 T&C http://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/mobile/our-latest-pay-monthly-tariff-terms
Clause 1 of the bolton data section stated "impose network protection controls which may reduce your speed;" but clause 5 stated "remove your ability to use data on your SIM Card"
So o2 have just implemented clause 5.
Shame but those are the facts.

Thanks for that, I was sprawling allover the website looking for clause 5 and it's exact wording.
As far as I am concerned, a modern mobile telecoms provider is useless to me if I run the risk of being completely offline data-wise.
I will pay the cancellation penalty and go back to Three.

It's entirely up to you if you want to leave over this but if you are getting close to using all your data allowance you can add another bolt on to make sure you don't get disconnected.
