Number porting not done

Hi guys.

 

Just joined O2 pay monthly and wanted to move my number. 

 

Got my PAC from smarty and requested the transfer via live chat yesterday. Was told it would be done by 6pm today. 

 

Still hasn't been done. Live chat isn't much help they've just told me to restart my phone which I have done 3 times. 

 

Has anyone had any experience with transferring their number and/or any delays?

Did you get a text from o2 saying the Port was confirmed and the date it would happen, as if you havent it wont have been today. 

Best thing to do is call o2 on 202 or  if you send them a message on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), they should be able to help and advise further..

I was told via live chat yesterday I'd get a text confirming it but I had nothing no.

 

I also re spoke to them today and they checked my account and said the transfer was due to happen today by 6pm...but it hasn't.

I wouldn't trust a word any live chat service tells you, and thats not just o2, but any company.... 

 

I would call up and ask, as if you haven't had confirmation then doubt its going to have been actioned today

Are there any O2 agents here? Can someone tag me in with them so they can check to see what's happening 

 

My new O2 account has been live 4 days now but I'm still having to use my old smarty SIM as the number i want porting is still with them. 

 

Doesn't seem fair I can't use my new O2 account when I was told the port would be done by 6pm yesterday.

Did you get a text message confirming the number port @jamieleewv1 as it won't be happening if you didn't...

The normal resolution is to submit the PAC again, but the form has been removed from the o2 help page so you will need to contact customer services again (sorry!) to re-request it...

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Having a similar issue, though I applied for a number port at the same time as ordering my new sim. It has yet to change over. @O2Georgina is this something you can help with?

If you are asking that question of @jamieleewv1 and @Adz2132, you need to tag them thus. However, you have reopened a thread that had been silent for ten months, so I cannot promise that you will get a reply. 

 

Could I suggest please that you return to the community homepage, start a new conversation and set out your problem ? You will have a much greater chance of receiving guidance if you tell us what difficulties you are having with your port and how you have tried to address it so far.
