No voice or data in Chester - Cancellation help.

How do i cancel contract without penalty? Get no service at home, surrounding villages and city centre. No voice and no data. Been like this since July 2015. I live on Chester.

Guardian reported on O2 Chester signal outrage a few months ago:

Tried numerous times with customer services but they are adamant coverage checker says all is fine. It's not.

Am I stuck with this shambolic non-service for the remaining 18 months or can I cancel without penalty?

I'd pay the device settlement, unlock the phone and get a pac code.

Advice/help would be much appreciated.

If your service was good with another provider, why did you switch to O2?

Might have been good when they switched over? Though not sure I would have stuck with no coverage since last July if honest...

Esp when it's so easy to get out if you're on refresh.

Easy, but expensive. The OP must have just started their contract if they've had no service since July and still have 18 months left now.

If I'd had a month or more I'd be off not wait nearly 7-8 months

Yes surely shows the advantage of trying a few payg sims before you commit to a long term contract...

Whatever the cost, it's still cheaper than it used to be and you own the phone to do as you wish with.

That's the beauty of Refresh. It's not for everyone but in the OP's situation it's a godsend.
