I’m new to o2 today, my new phone should arrive tomorrow. I have terminated my existing contract with EE due to poor customer service. I used the o2 WhatsApp messenger to order my new phone. I have downloaded the my o2 app and the number at the top (mobile number) on my new account is an o2 number, I stated when I joined o2 today I wanted to carry over my number from EE but I can’t recall anybody taking the PAC or PUK number EE gave me when I left. I do recall telling the o2 agent I want to keep my existing number. I’m just worried now as on the my o2 app it’s not my number. Maybe it will update when I get my phone tomorrow. The last thing I want to do is have to contact everyone telling them I have a new number. Can anyone help?

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

You need to contact o2 tomorrow and give them your PAC code, as without it nothing will happen, and the number you have been given temporarily will exist until you give o2 the PAC Code and port your number across.

You'll need to have not already terminated your EE contract too (as in the line needs to be active for you to port the number over), if they have already closed your account and you have no service it may be more challenging
