Mobile Data plans

Any plans for a complete revamp of the o2 mobile data plans?

As it stands they are extremely uncompetitive when compared with superior networks, and can only be described as a complete rip-off

Compare £15.99 for 15GB of data on 3 with o2's miserly 2GB of data for £15

Something is very wrong

I'm not doubting that it's happened, bob. I just don't understand why? I can't see it being a question of priority. If that were true, does this happen to Tesco Mobile customers as well? O2 has too many other companies using their network to have a priority system in place. I think that would make a lot of people angry if they did. O2 still gets a piece of the pie no matter who is using their network. It's very odd.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

GiffGaff did mention they have recently upgraded equipment on there side as the original equipment was getting near capacity & was starting to prove unreliable.

That sounds feasible.

Im running my O2 sim in my spare phone at the moment as it still has a couple of weeks to run.

Both O2 & GiffGaff signal strength bars match on the phones when I take both out my pocket.

LOL

I went with EE in the end, £36 for 20GB. In comparison with £15 for 2GB on o2's inferior network. As I said.

MI5 LOL

Makes sense to go with the best deal and network signal one can get.

That's a massive amount of data per month. Do you think you would use most if it ?

I have 5gb of data on my tariff and can't get anywhere near using it. Partly because o2 network is awful here and also because unless you stream or play music it is nearly impossible. Oh and tether of course

Must admit for the price difference I'd go with the 2GB. I use my data fairly excessively using the likes of Spotify and Netflix, but I only use it for the sake of using it, I don't need it.
I've just checked my bill and I've used 3.4GB this month, it could have easily been less had I used the free Wi-Fi hot spots available to me.

Hi

Like Wanty I use the data when I can cos it is there. With so much free (and unless in a 4g area) faster wifi I would consider what you actually NEED and then base your tariff choice on that.

More and more places are also giving free wifi now it is becoming the norm.
