Mobile Data plans

Any plans for a complete revamp of the o2 mobile data plans?

As it stands they are extremely uncompetitive when compared with superior networks, and can only be described as a complete rip-off

Compare £15.99 for 15GB of data on 3 with o2's miserly 2GB of data for £15

Something is very wrong

The people like MI5 and others who post on here are o2 customers trying to genuinely help each other. It would be helpful and appropriate in your posts to recognise that. We are not o2 staff nor are we paid by o2.

Every company has their pricing structure no matter what you buy. Three, being the smallest of the 5 uk networks, offer more as they try to build their customer base. If your Three signal is suitable for your needs in the areas you need it, then the advice is to take up their offer. Three will also be rolling out 4g although it is expected they will be behind the lead players.

One question does spring to mind though. Do you need more than 2gb pet month of gsm data (bearing in mind the growing availability of wifi)? If 2gb covers your need then the question becomes immaterial.

All in all though, the decision on where to place your hard earned cash is yours and you must select the best deal for your needs like we all do every day for everything we buy.

Good luck and wish you well

Not ive seen or read on.

I find my choice more than adequate which is 1gb in my payg 4g tariff with added bolt on's if I need them.

The 4g contract tariffs give good data deals at the moment which can be used on 3g connections ..... http://www.o2.co.uk/4g/4g-tariffs

Not all networks give good stable network where you live, commute or work so be careful before jumping ship.

"There not all superior."

If you know of a superior network I suggest you move there.....
However, I suspect you don't really and just want the best for less - If so, try asking CS or retentions.
I'm sure they will bend over backwards to keep you happy slight_smile

I know of at least one, it's right there in my post....

Are you seriously suggesting that o2 is worth the difference between 2GB and 15GB for the same money. That's an astonishing post.

And do 3 give you good signal where you live etc ?

If so go there.

Or look at Giffgaff.

£12 goodybag gives unlimited data and they have started doing contracts now.

Shhhhhhhhh, don't tell everyone.

Remember NO tethering allowed on unlimited data goodybags.

Technically it's not a contract, its a low interest LOAN to buy a sim free unlocked phone if you want one, issue is you need a very good credit rating to get one, loads of people moaning about being turned down.

Almost as astonishing as yours wink

If you read my sig you'll see I use 3 networks and I travel top to bottom of the country.

There is only 1 of the networks I can rely on to have a signal all the time.... Not always 3G/4G but at least 2G so I can make calls and send texts.

Remember, as good as Three is for data it's a 3G network only.....

Who said o2 are forcing me to be a customer?

I take it, then, that o2 have no plans to adjust their price plans. Thanks.

Abusing us on here will not get you anywhere I'm afraid, so go to Three and join their forum.....
