Lost phone

Have friend who lost phone on Australia. Now back in uk with Aussie phone and not able to call anyone in O2 report and can’t get into any of their o2 chat services to report as they are closed. Also can’t travel for obvious reasons. Any solutions? Can o2 call them if I supply the contact number?
