Contacted O2 a few times and got different responses each time... Not very comforting!! Is anyone else having this problem? Any ideas y this is happening?

If you search this forum (and Google) you will find many reports of iPhones using vast amounts of data.
It started with the iPhone 5 and iOS6.
It effects some people but not all and can come and go at random.
The fact that it is reported on all network forums suggests it is an Apple issue but they won't admit it.
Truth is no one knows the answer unfortunately except to buy a non Apple phone.....

Hi

Which phone are you using ?

Some have inbuilt data counters that show what app is using how much data.

Apps are available to help too.

You could contact Cs to refute the usage.

Sorry to add What are the O2 responses ??

I won't be surprised if it's an iPhone.

Well if it is they can check in Settings,Mobile and at the bottom each App will show how much data is being used.

Correct or apps such as Onavo Extend for previous iOS.

But we digress as the OP has not yet confirmed what device there using.

Yep iphone and I've reset my counters to see which apps are using what Amt of data but as I've currently got cellular data off I won't b able to test it until the next billing month stRts.

One O2 rep said when I think I'm on wifi I'm not, another told me to turn off A few things and another said he would send me an email about how to stop this happening on an iphone... Never got the mail though.

I think Facebook is using a lot of data but I'm not using it any more than usual so I don't know why this has only happened the past 2 months.
