I have just been informed that my monthly payment will increase from £1.80 to £2.50 from April 2026 - no explanation given!
This represents an increase of 20% approximately. As RPI is only 3.9% this month - can this extoronate incresae be explained?

Ah, but it's a definite amount now, not 3.9%+the government-calculated CPI figure (inflation rate) as of March 😲🙄😉

I just got a email about this and about the switch up as well

I've had two emails about this, seeing as I have a phone and a tablet:
We wanted to give you a heads up about a change we’re making to some of our airtime plans, so you can be prepared ahead of time.
From April 2026, your airtime plan will now be increasing by £2.50 instead of £1.80. The cost of your device plan will remain the same. Data Only and Smartwatch Plans will remain the same at 75p
This is annoying (putting it mildly), seeing as I've recently altered both my Unlimited Data/calls/texts monthly plans to lower costing ones, which I was offered whilst asking questions instore. I asked loads of questions and was told that there would be no increase next year (staying at £1.80).
All this also affects my retired parents, who are both on a cheap unlimited calls/texts plans due to being on pensions

I got an email saying the same and it also says this -
Due to this, you have the right to cancel your airtime plan without any early termination charges, within the next 30 days

Full text of the email here, @Ranger57 - you are correct, if only people would read carefully... 🙄

Do you have to cancel by calling 202 to get out penalty free or can you just request your PAC by texting the number and be done with it?
