Help please! I live in an area where coverage has always been ok but not perfect - signal can suddenly go down but has til now always come right back - and has been fine for the last 9 years. Two days ago it went completely.
No calls, no text, no service. I've contacted o2 and had all the usual "fixes" - new sim, change phone, switch phone off and reset - but nothing has helped. There is no reported maintenance but something has gone wrong, whether o2 know it or not.
I've just signed a new contract but am going to have to cancel it unless I can find a solution - no point having a phone which can't make or receive calls or text...Can anyone tell me what has happened? Thanks!

I recently had the same problem! Only ever had 2g signal but our whole area had no signal for almost 3 days a couple of weeks ago... Turned out to be a mast problem caused by bad weather! O2 couldn't find any faults until all of us affected rang in to report it at the same time... As perksie suggested on my thread - the more people that report it, the more seriously they will take it hope this helps!

Have you tried your sim in another phone? Anyone else you know on O2 having problems?

Yes, sim and phone have both been checked - both work fine 1 mile up the road...So its definitely the signal. What I need to know is why its gone down and why no-one on O2 is aware of this!
PS: Thanks for the suggestion but can't find a TuGo app on the iphone store...

Mast faults may not show up straight away, if nothing shows here, you will need to chase them up:

Tu Go hasn't been released yet.

Thanks Perksie - checked the status link on Tuesday and again today. Nothing. This has been a problem for quite a long time and no-one at o2 - shop, on the phone, online or here - seems to have any idea what's happening.

Why are you suggesting it when it hasn't actually been released yet

Sorry - I meant search on the forum for threads relating to it. When it's out it can solve the OP's issue with signal at home.
