My husband and I are looking at getting an iphone 6 each preferably on o2 as this the best network in our area. I have been looking into contracts and have found some that are available but not directly from o2! Obviously we want the best deal but not sure why some company can offer a 24 month contract on o2 at £38.00 a month with no upfront cost (1gb data unlimited calls and texts) but this is not available from o2?! Can someone please advise why and if we could get this deal from o2? Thanks in advance 😊

@jonsie wrote:Personally for me it's just simply choice and preference.
Lack of choice is what we have at the moment, though. I mean, I like my note 3, and I could adapt to an iPhone, just about, if I really had to for some reason.
But neither is how I would design a phone by a long margin.
The Nokia communicators were always favourites of mine at the time.
Where are the business handsets these days? I mean, real business handsets. The note series is the closest I've seen. But for me, personally, I don't want gimmiky things like Knox, (it's not real security, I work in the IT industry and wouldn't trust it with anything), and I am not a fan of evernote particularly. It's lacking a decent built in sip/voip solution, (the existing one doesn't encrypt), the email client is naff when you have a lot of mail to handle, the multi-window stuff with the s-pen is too limited, (works with certain applications only), there is no official multimedia dock available, you have to use the one from the Note 2. The dock for a business phone should have a wired network port. And a port for a handset. Business phones should be dual-sim, and support 4g on more bands. When I take my note 3 to brasil, it doesn't work on the 4g service there because the frequency is different. And the built in ftp client is naff too.
@The note 3 was the best I could find, and it's still lacking. Maybe @MI5 can tell me if any of this is fixed in the note 4?

And for me, in the beginning my choice of phone was the luck of the draw if honest! My first smartphone was a Galaxy Y chosen by my other half purely because it was cheap..(don't laugh)..:smileywink:..
When I changed from PAYG to Contract I was advised by CS to go for the Samsung S3 because it was on offer with a briliant tariff...(If she had said we have an iPhone on offer...who knows how my story could have changed)
I now have the Samsung Note 3 which I love.
I stick with what I know in terms of smartphones. I don't want challenges to master a change of phone.
Using the old 'If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it' school of thought I suppose.
I have used an iPhone. My son tried to convert me. He failed
Each to their own. A phone is there to suit the needs of an individual. My eldest son loves iphones. The rest of the family are Android through and through

S Pen support has improved on the Note 4. The main difference is a more naural handwriting experience, but, for work, I still use my AtivS as I find it much more capable with it's ability to sync back to my office.
