Was sent an o2 sim in the post to complete my forced switchover from Virgin Mobile.

The sim says ‘Sim Compatible with 5G devices only’ which is an issue as my phone does not support 5G….

My old 4G Virgin sim is still working but I know its only a matter of time before it stops working.

Will this new 5G sim work or will I need to call into an o2 retail store and get a 4G one??

A O2 5G sim will be completely fine to use in any 4G handset @AlMcCann

Once your present sim loses connectivity then change sim

I was under the impression that changeover should be 'seamless'....

All 5G SIM cards are backward compatible so 4G phone is OK. They will even work 3G and 2G while they are still around

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
