My contract ended in May didn't want to upgrade as was waiting on a new phone being released so moved to sim only tariff, was 12 month contract but was offered that I could upgrade after 30days. I made sure to get copy of transcript as was done online through live chat.
Contacted O2 today to enquire about upgrading and was told even though they checked out previous transcript that they couldn't upgrade me after 30days it would have to be 3months.
Was rather annoyed with this response and decided I would cancel with them to then be told I would have to pay over £120!
I feel as if I'm being held to ransom, I own my handset and they didn't have to send me SIM card all was done online.
Can they do this after giving me false information?
