False calls

I’ve recently had two strange things happen.

A few days ago, I missed a call from a mobile number I didn’t recognise. I text to say I’d call them back later, and they were positive they’d not ring me at all. I screenshot my calls list and sent it to them, but they still said they’d not ring me.

Then today I’ve received a text from a different number asking who I am, and why did I call.

I’ve not called this number either intentionally or accidentally, but they must have got my number somehow.

I declined giving out any further information as I feel uncomfortable with this happening.

Anyone have any similar experiences like this?

I’ve had the same number for years, and apart from the odd misdial and wrong number, I’ve never had anything like this happen.

This has happened to a few people

I would suggest chaning your sim card in case of a fault

You need to call customer service
Advice from an O2 Guru to get through:
If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Choose the fraud option if necessary

If its any of these, then it isn't a mobile, 070,076,07744 or 07755
