Hi,

If I upgrade early (and pay the early upgrade fee), am I still entitled to the same 14-day cooling off period with the new phone? And if I am, what happens if I decide to return the phone?

Thanks slight_smile

Yeah, that's the way it works but they only allow you an exchange of phone in the 14 days so you have to stay on the new contract.

Sorry - meant to say that I'd be upgrading to a Refresh, so would get 25% off the early upgrade fee..

I found this link which I think explains it, but I'm not 100% sure.

You still have the 14 day return period, however you lose the early upgrade fee as it's non refundable.

@jonsie That's fine, I understand that. But if I handed the new phone back, I'd essentially have paid off my old contract and had a 25% discount off the upgrade fee to boot. That's what I can't get my head around..

My early upgrade fee is £253.55.

If I were to simply pay off my contract it would be around the £450 mark, so there's a fair difference hence the question!

@MI5 Perfect, thank you slight_smile

So I can change the phone but I'd still be tied into the contract, and if I wanted to cancel the contract I'd be liable to pay the full cancellation fee.
