Dual sim AND WiFi calling request

I’ve not posted here before, so forgive my incorrect protocol.

I’ve been with 02 for quite a few years off & on.

I’m after a couple of criteria:

1. Dual sim

2. WiFi calling

So I bought a Samsung J6+ (dual sim and on the 02 WiFi call compatible list) to replace my single sim J6+

I’ve been in touch with 02 who state that the phone needs the 02 firmware, but they are unable (or unwilling) to supply it. I also have the problem where I have a very weak signal at home

c’mon 02, what dual sim phones can you offer that support WiFi calling as the rest of the world supplies them without any issues. If you can’t supply anything, why not please the customers you have by giving us the firmware.

Any ideas how I can resolve this ?

@Jonbee56 unfortunately there isn't any o2 firmware for the dual sim J6.

WiFi calling works well on my OnePlus 6 though so your only option is a different phone I think.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately on the 02 site there is no mention about the handset being a dual sim. I’ve already got the J6+ on a single sim that works fine on WiFi calling.

Are you saying that there are no handsets that are dual sim and WiFi calling that are compatible with 02 ?

I find that quite an oversight for such a main mobile supplier

I believe the One Plus 6 is dual sim and confirmed by @MI5 that wifi calling works on O2.

The S10 Plus is also dual sim and works with wifi calling on O2 @Jonbee56, if that helps.

I use one and it definitely works.

I’m disappointed that I need a new handset to replace my brand new one just to stay on O2, otherwise I will look at other networks that support call by WiFi and carry on with two handsets until it’s resolved... & here I was thinking it would be an easy fix with a firmware patch.
