I bought a Payg phone on the website

Just wondering, do I HAVE to top up?
I had to choose a Payg tariff - but didn't have to pay anything

Am I missing something?

It will work fine with your giffgaff sim straight off.
You choose your o2 tariff so they know which bundle to put you on.

You don't have to top up but the phone is locked to O2 for 12 months so you have to use an O2 sim card, unless you bought an iphone which can be unlocked straight away but again, it will have to be used with an O2 sim before they do that. Maybe you already have a sim you are using?
