Hi, I want to upgrade my phone after buying out my current phone so went to an o2 shop on Saturday to do so. However the one I wanted wasn't in stock.
The girl I spoke to said she would add a discount to my tariff and something about coming in to her again at the end of contract and I needed to upgrade again, or she would get it back. Am I right in thinking this is a family and friends discount? And is it going to come back and bite me if I choose to go ahead with that discount tariff when my phone is in stock? I just don't know why she would give that to a stranger.

It doesn't cost staff anything as they are allowed a certain number to share F&Fs and if they need a sale to hit their target for the month then you are the one to benefit @MANDREW
