I’m on a pay monthly contract and will be travelling to Lanzarote on the 29th November.

Can I use my phone as I would at home without having to pay extra charges? There is very little clear information on this. There seems to be some travel bolt-on that charges £4.99 a day, but I’m not sure if this applies to Lanzarote.

Yes, you can roam using data up to a Max of 25Gb. (or your allowance if less)

https://www.o2.co.uk/eu-roaming

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Lanzarote, part of the Canary Islands, counts as a territory of Spain and as such is included, as @Enlli says, in O2's Europe Zone with "Roam like Home" for calls, text and data.

Take a look through here to make sure you have no problems when you land in Lanzarote: Guide: Roaming MegaGuide, especially if you have an iPhone.

Enjoy the holiday, @Dowser 🏖
