Completely fed up with poor reception

DH5 9LR is my post code.

I can't even make a call half the time yet I walk 50yrds up the road and get a good signal.

I've just spent 30 mins trying to call someone who means a lot to me and all I get is a beep when trying to connect.

Does the o2 stand for oxygen twice because I need to walk out in the high altitude to get a bloody signal?

Between this and my poor broadband conenction I'm seriously considering ditching o2 for a company who gives a toss about meeting their customers expectations.

I think I just realised where I was going wrong oops!

I was unticking the top option rather than "Use only 2G networks".

My phone automatically disables data when I'm connected to wifi and I'm always connected to wifi at home.

So surely this means I've always been on 2G at home?

I've not suffered total loss of reception so far afaik

No if your phone (what make and model) is enabled for 3g it will use 3g for voice even if you are on wifi.

Your area should get 5 bars 2g in and out so no call failures should happen on 2g yet you are in poor 3g coverage

I meant no call fails since I switched to "Use only 2G networks".

My phone is a Nexus 4 rev. 11.

I'm currently running an app that logs network signal strength so I'll let it run a while and see how it compares.
