DH5 9LR is my post code.
I can't even make a call half the time yet I walk 50yrds up the road and get a good signal.
I've just spent 30 mins trying to call someone who means a lot to me and all I get is a beep when trying to connect.
Does the o2 stand for oxygen twice because I need to walk out in the high altitude to get a bloody signal?
Between this and my poor broadband conenction I'm seriously considering ditching o2 for a company who gives a toss about meeting their customers expectations.

looking the the status page no issues but if you have 3g enabled you are in a very week coverage area and turning 3g off should give you a great 2g signal and good calls.
Give that a try

If you phone O2 cust services as a pay monthly? And they find the claims true you could be eligible for refund or termination of contract etc...
With broadband check what your speed is through an online speed test and if its lower than your contract you can demand limits raised.
Hope this helps!

I understand your frustration regarding your issue, but do we really need that language on a forum board frequented by minors.
I'm assuming both your phone and sim are in 100% working order.
I hope your coverage returns soon.

Anyone else having problems in the area on O2. Have you tried your sim in another phone to check it's not a handset problem? Report the issue to customer service if you still have issues after a little fault finding. There may be a problem they are not yet aware of.

Hi,
I had data off last night around 4am and the call quality was really very bad. Much worse than when I'd had data enabled.
Is that to be expected?
Edit: My contract is due for renewal in May. I think I'm going to get a pre-pay sim from all the other networks and run some tests. I think I'm already going to leave o2 because their broadband can't compare to Sky/BT's fibre alternatives so I may as well take my whole package to Sky/BT for phone/internet/TV then go elsewhere for my mobile since the package is cheaper than piecemeal across different providers.

sorry data off is not 3g off
What handset
you need to set to gsm only or turn 3g off
Data off turns off data on 2g and 3g not what we are trying to achieve
