I'm abroad for 4 months. I've bought a local sim which is much cheaper than using the o2 International plans. I want to cancel my o2 contract for now so I'm not paying my o2 bill for the next 4 months while I'm not using it, but I don't want to leave the network completely as I want to restart my contract when I'm back in the UK. I'm not able to make calls from here using my O2 sim and any calls to O2 that I make using my local sim are not in English.
How do I temporarily cancel my contract without making a phone call?

@lozzer You can't 'temporarily' cancel a contract.

Edit: Depending on where you are (some countries have a ban on it), if you download WhatsApp and use a WiFi connection you can call, text, or video call anyone anywhere who also has the app for free.
