I have a pay monthly contract. I've chosen the SIM I want for my daughter's reconditioned smart phone, chose my extra (6m free Disney very nice) put on a spend cap and asked for a new number. I've chosen to pay from the same a/c I use for my contract but now I'm scared to finish the purchase in case this cancels my SIM card. I'm probably worrying about nothing but I've been trying to talk to a REAL PERSON on the customer service line for two days.

If you're signed in to your O2 account there's a good chance it will upgrade your account.

The safest way for you is to create a new account with a different email address, or pop into your local O2 store if you can.

Calling is difficult right now, but if you need to call customer service.

Or advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:
If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
