Blocking telephone use overseas for children

Anonymous
Not applicable

My daughter has an iPhone on pay monthly.  She is going overseas and I want to disable it for both data and calls (she can use it as an iPod).  I can switch off data roaming but how can I switch off the calling?  There seems to be nothing on the o2 site to explain this.

calls cannot be switched off. you cohld just take the sim card out and keep it in a safe place. the phone will still work as an ipod and on wifi. or tou could call customer service and see if any bars could be applied slight_smile

To use as an ipod only just put it in to airplane mode and wifi can be re-enabled.

This switches calls off totally and cell data.
