Adding a new contract to my existing one

I currently have an O2 contract and wondering if i can add another pay monthly contract to my account for a family member. If so can i get a discount since i have been an O2 customer for a great number of years? Furthermore, am i better of getting a refurbished phone or a brand new one?

Hi @mags60 Yes you can add another phone to your existing account. As long as you have made payments on time with the one you have already you should be fine.

You may have to undergo another credit check which shouldn't be a problem if your payment history is good.

The choice of phone is up to you...however you won't get a discount unless there is one showing in the shop.

If the family member lives at the same address you can get discount on the o2 family plan https://www.o2.co.uk/family-plan

When I go to my basket it asks if I want to keep my number a request a new one. Is that for my existing sim or a new separate sim?
Don't want to replace my existing number and device but rather add my daughter with her own phone and sim

Sounds like you are in an upgrade scenario.

You need to cancel and just buy a new contract.
