I am a current o2 customer and my contract runs out in a couple of days. The upgrade options weren’t great , so instead I have ordered a new sim only contract via my account. However, it’s looks like it will have a new phone number. I haven’t cancelled my old contract yet. New sim arrives in 5 ish days. Is there a way for me to transfer my current number over to the new sim?

You should just be able to call and migrate your number Guide: Migration & porting into O2
If they refuse, get your PAC and port out to another network on PAYG then port back in.
