Anyone run into this problem.

Tried to take 2 new phones for my Kids moving them over to O2.  But was declined as Account Limit Reached.  Thye tried in mine and my Wife's Name but both had the same issue.

I have been trying to get an answer from O2 for nearly 3 weeks now, but they just keep fobbing me off with they have emailed their manager to get it looked into.

Our credit files are perfect, very little credit so nothing to do with that, never heard of this reason before and on checking my credit report they have only done a soft search which means that it is an internal issues as to why they won't do these contracts.

can anyone give me any pointers as to how to get an answer from them

You are not guaranteed to be accepted for credit and a perfect credit file can be just as bad for getting credit as a bad credit file.

You say you have very little credit, then you have no credit history for o2 to base any decision on.

o2 don't i am afraid need to tell you anything as to why you are being declined, but they have been known to restrict accounts to 2 or 3 phones since it BT Cellnet, and every other network does the same.

@kifty

We'll never figure out O2's acceptance criteria unfortunately.

The only suggestion I have is to try one at a time and leave a month in between applications.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
