A little confused!!!! please help!

I currently have a 12 month simplicity contract which is due to end in march. The phone wasnt included in a deal, I bought it from somewhere different a year earlier so they had just sent me the sim.

Last night I upgraded my account to 02 refresh and ordered a new phone with a monthly cost of £14 rather than £11. The phone is arriving tomorrow, and I just wanted to know how it was going to work, as now when I check my account it shows that my next bill will be charged at the £14.

Am I going to get a new sim? with a new number? and then have like two separate sims that I have to pay for, all will it all transfer onto the new phone?

On simplicity it was either after 6 months or 9 months you could move back to full contract no notice .

So as you did this through my-o2 the new phone will just need the swap my sim to be done if a different size sim if not use the old sim.

No issues on billing as you have seen you are now just a normal refresh customer as opposed to a simplicity customer.

Hope that clears it up.

The phone will come with a sim.

I assume they have dealt with your simplicity account when you upgraded.

You should retain the same mobile number which you will have to perform a swap my sim procedure if the SIM card is a different size to the one your using in your phone now.

Hi

Have you taken out the Refresh contract as new contract?

Have you paid off or cancelled your simplicity when ordered the refresh contract?

Sounds ok then.

How did you set up the upgrade.

Live chat , shop or via customer service on 202 from your phone ?

Ok
Your final bill for simplicity will need to be paid before you can start your new tariff.
From next bill date it should show your new tariff details and amount.

I was on my account on the website, and I clicked to upgrade to 02 refresh, selected my phone and tarrif, and checked out.

It's probably fine as I looked aorund for information and spoke to someone on live chat, I just don't want to get charged twice! slight_smile

Live chat are ok for general enquiries.

I would give CS a call on 202 just to clarify things.

It should ok from your next bill date.
You should be only paying one bill from then but definitely give O2 a call to clarify as live chat can be unreliable at times
